ASDMA was formed in 1990 with membership made up of companies who manufacture specialist timber doors. Many had been founder members of the TRADA QA Scheme for fire doors. With the advent of the single European market and the implications for both suppliers and consumers, it was felt essential to have a specialist association which would further the interests of the manufacturers ensuring that they were represented on:
MEMBERSHIP Membership is drawn from door manufacturers who offer a wide range of bespoke products. Associate membership categories represent manufacturers and fabricators of components used in specialist door assemblies such as hardware, glazing and seals, as well as those companies which specialise in the installation of performance doorsets. There is also a sponsoring member category for organisations which are involved in related activities such as testing and/or certification.
